Who we are
Goose Guide ("we", "us") is a UK venue-discovery service that helps you find gyms, pools, studios and sports facilities. For privacy questions or requests, contact us at [email protected].
What we collect
Browsing and search. Searching and browsing venues does not require an account and does not identify you. If you use "My location", your browser shares coordinates with us only for that search — we do not store them.
Account. If you create an account we store your email address (used only for magic-link sign-in), an optional display name, your saved venues and saved searches, and your marketing-preference state with the time it was last changed.
Cookies. We set essential authentication/session cookies to keep you signed in. See our cookie notice for details.
How we use it
- To sign you in via a one-time email link (no passwords).
- To keep your session active while you use the site.
- To store venues and searches you explicitly save.
- To send marketing emails only if you separately opt in on your account page — creating an account never subscribes you.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal data.
- We don't store your device location unless you explicitly save a search or place.
- We don't use non-essential analytics cookies without consent.
Retention and deletion
Your account data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from the account page — this immediately removes your profile, saved venues, saved searches, sessions and sign-in records. Magic-link sign-in tokens are single-use and expire shortly after being issued.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Third parties
Venue information and pass purchases are provided by our partner Hussle; following a venue or pass link takes you to their service, which has its own privacy terms. Map tiles are served by Stadia Maps and OpenMapTiles using OpenStreetMap data.
